FERGUSON, Ian. (19*-) Academic, playwright and critic. * Studied English literature at the University of Stellenbosch and University of South Africa, taught English at the University of South Africa from 19** to 19**. Wrote criticism and articles on South African theatre and supervised a number of theses on the subject. One of the founders of the short-lived journal ***, later a board member of the South African Theatre Journal. ** His writing includes Falstaff, which was staged by PACT at the Alexander Theatre in 1976. In 19* he moved to Canada. Long-time partner of Robert Mohr.
