Hugh Ardale (1874–1965) was a British actor

Biography

Born Hubert Ernest Irish on March 2, 1874 in Banwell, Somerset, England, he adopted the stage name Hugh Ardale and made a career as an actor for stage and film.


His film roles included The Young Mr. Pitt (1942) and Tomorrow We Live (1936).

He died on June 12, 1965 in Bournemouth, England.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He was a member of the cast of What Happened to Jones (Broadhurst), performed by Charles Arnold and the touring London company, when they played in South Africa in January of 1900.
