A weekend festival begun by Santa van Bart and other members of the Bosman Literary Society in Groot Marico in 1995.

It has appeared under a range of names over the years, including the Biekie Bosman Weekend, Biekie Bosman Festival, and the Bietjie Bosman Festival.

The Bosman weekend event was originally held in October and is coordinated and run by Santa van Bart and her husband Egbert. It apparently now occurs twice a year, with a March/April event being more of a local event, during which the local Bosman Literary Society members are not outnumbered by visitors, while the grand event is in October, when hundreds of Bosman fans come to pay their respects.

Besides discussions of Bosman's work and legacy, various artists perform excerpts from Bosman's work at the festival. Patrick Mynhardt, who brought Oom Schalk to life, attended 13 festivals, till he fell ill in 2006. . Other artists who have appeared as Oom Schalk Lourens include Anthony Paton and David Muller

The April weekend is something of a local event, during which the local Bosman Literary Society members are not outnumbered by visitors, while the grand event is in October, when hundreds of Bosman fans come to pay their respects.
