KRETZMER, Herbert. South African actor who later settled in London and became the drama critic for the ''Daily Express''. He also went on to reach fame as a lyricist, writing the words for the musical ''Les Miserables''. Starred in ''[[Romeo and Juliet]]'', which was performed in the [[Pretoria Opera House]] and the [[Wits Great Hall]] in 1949. It was produced by the [[Johannesburg Repertory Society|Johannesburg REPS]] to commemorate twenty one years of existance.
