Henriette the Forsaken is a drama in three acts by John Baldwin Buckstone ()[]

The original text

The story was taken from a German novel called The Patrician and to some extent the play was inspired by a French dramatization by an unnamed author. First performed at the Theatre Royal Adelphi in 1834 and published by William Strange, London, in the same year.
