She was a leading member of Paul de Groot's 1933-4 company, touring with Verborge Sonde, Misdade van die Vaders and Kain. After Paul de Groot's departure from South Africa, she performed regularly in the Standard Theatre with her director Ossip Runitsch in productions such as Eindeksamen, Die Man met die Grys Hare, Verborge Sonde, Mademoiselle.
