Presented in English by the Brian Brooke Company in the Little Theatre, December 1947, produced by Mary Byron. The cast were Petrina Fry, Joan Ross, David Lytton, Brian Brooke.

An Afrikaans version by ** was done by André Huguenet in 193*? (Tr. **?)

Bloemfontein, produced by Bianca de Jager, 1939.

It opened on 24 January 1964 in the Hofmeyr Theatre as CAPAB's first Afrikaans play, directed by Suzanne van Wyk; (tr André P. Brink?*) and toured the Werstern Cape.

In 197* Sandra Prinsloo played Hedda in an Afrikaans PACT production, directed by Francois Swart?*

Michael Meyer's English translation was used for the CAPAB Drama production directed by Michael Atkinson, opening 26 February 1972. Designed by Aubrey Couling. Marika Mann played Hedda, Bernard Brown (Judge Brack), Kerry Jordan (George Tesman), Joyce Burgh (Juliana Tesman), Lois Butlin (Mrs Elvsted), Mollie Thompson (Bertha), John Whiteley (Eilert Loevborg).
