Harriet Manamela

Harriet Manamela (1971- ) [1] is a South African stage, film and television actress.

Also known as Harriet Lenabe or Moloi Harriet Manamela.

Biography

Born Harriet Lenabe in Diepkloof on 13 October 1971, she matriculated from St. Anthony's Centre in Boksburg.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

She joined Squints Artists Community Theatre Group in Alexandra Township and performed in The Virus and Let's Talk About Aids at The Market Theatre Laboratory Annual Festival.

Roles in stage productions include: The Essence, The Necklace; Broken Dreams; Gomorrah!; Koze Kuse Bash; Ways of Dying; Bozoli, Guga Mzimba!.

Roles in television productions include: Soul City; Isidingo; Yizo Yizo II; Justice For All II & III; Zero Tolerance; Soul Buddyz; Behind The Badge; Rhythm City; Skeem Saam (as "Meikie Mapula"), Swartwater, .

Roles in feature films include: Hijack Stories (2000); Dr Lucille: The Lucille Teasdale Story (2001), Country Of My Skull (2004); Yesterday (2004); Hotel Rwanda (2004), Otelo Burning (2011), The Tokoloshe (2018); Mkhize to Masemola (2023) .
