Hanlé Barnard (19*-) is an actress, writer, a singer and violinist.

(Apparently also referred to as Hannah Barnard)

Biography

Studied at National School of the Arts and The University of Cape Town where she completed her Performance Diploma.

Career

As an actress, playwright and director:

Roles have included "Hamlet" in Hamlet, "Antigone" in Antigone directed by British director Sean Mathias at the Baxter Theatre, Land van Skedels by Nicola Hanekom

She is also a voice artist and part of electro duo Electric Corvette.

Did a run of her one woman show in Canada, Australia and South Africa

Wrote and directed The House of O: A Reconstruction of Hamlet (2016)

Work in Film and TV:

Recently she appeared in Modder and Bloed, for which she was nominated a Fiesta, and Monster for Kyknet by Stafford Robinson.


Awards

She won a Fleur de Cap and Dalro best actress.
