(17**-18**) Stage manager. [Possibly a boot and shoemaker, with a shop at 2 Shortmarket Street, Cape Town, and the husband of Mrs Westcott ? Father ofMiss Westcott ? Worked on plays such as Bertram, or The Castle of St Aldobrand by The English Amateur Company;

On 12 June 1839 his name appears at the head of an advert in the Cape Advertiser, announcing the sale of a number of theatrical goods and effects of the former African Theatre.
