(18**-18**) Also named Mr Hughes in some sources. Stage name of Mr Russell, a clerk with a local firm. Actor, singer and stage manager. He and his wife were members of the the the semi-professional company of W.F.H. Parker in Cape Town. Roles in and worked on among others, The King's Command and Damp Beds (20 August, 1847) He later worked with the French company of Dalle Case (Sans Souci Theatre) as singer (under his real name of Mr Russel) as well.
