H.W. Teengs (fl. 1860-1890) was a Dutch speaking citizen of Cape Town, a playwright and an amateur actor.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
A member of and actor for the Cape Town based rederijkerskamer called Aurora II (1866-1887).
Author of locally written Dutch plays such as Willem Nel (a 4-act tragedy,1868), Opstand 1815 (an afterpiece, 1868), Het Vierde Huwelik van Jacoba van Beyeren (a 4-act tragedy, 1868, performed again in 1873), De Moord van Dingaan aan Piet Retief (1869), followed by Retief Gewroken (1869).
All his work was written for and performed by Aurora II.
