First performed in August 2002 by Theatre for Africa in the Theatre on the Square, directed by John Martin, with an international cast including M. Sajitha, Aleks Kamau, Raymond Kasawaya, Esailama Diouf, Paula Sandroni, Jody Abrahams and Mohamed el Hagrasy. It was staged on a double bill with Of Birds and Beasts to coincide with the World Summit for Sustainable Development in Sandton, Johannesburg.
