Greg Viljoen (19**- ) is a South African actor, stage director, designer and writer.

Biography

Greg studied fine arts and drama, obtaining a Diploma Fine Arts from the JHB Art Foundation and a BA Dramatic Arts, at AFDA

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

As playwright he wrote and often directed Wild Man, Hitler (National Arts Festival Fringe, 1999), Annerkant Blinkkant, Office Help!, The Last Moustache (2013-14).

As an actor he has appeared on stage in Impromtu Zoo, The Norman Curry Show, Cyrano de Bergerac (Lead), Equus, Tail between the Legs, It's Funny When You're Dead, The Cheap Show (2005 and 2009), Office helpand played the main character in the musical Vicious Circle written by Emma Peirson. Many of these done at the Liberty Theatre on the Square.

He has also done a some industrial theatre and many commericials.

Film and TV appearances include roles in Queens Messanager, 05H42, Cape of Good Hope Dead Easy and Ape to Man (Raymond Dart), Big Okes (Lead and writer) and Unicity. (see also his IMDb profile[1])

Designed sets for Requiem and Magspel, costumes for The Last Moustache.

Awards, etc

Nominated for a Naledi Award Best Costume Design for The Last Moustache produced in 2013.
