Graham Brown(19*-) Costume and décor designer.

Biography

Born in Edinburgh.

Youth

Training

Career

He works for the Gateway Theatre as an assistant stage manager, then becomes assistant designer, before moving to Cheltenham as full time designer for the Everyman Theatre, the Donovan Maude Theatre in Kenya and finally for PACT in Pretoria, where he becomes executive and chief designer.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Designed decor and/or costumes for Rashomon (PACT 1965), The Secretary Bird (1969), Soldate-vryers (PACT 1965), A Month in the Country (PACT 1969), The Little Hut (1966), Twaalfde Nag (PACT 1964), 'n Maand op die Platteland (PACT 1979, Kiss Me, Kate, Carousel.

Also Il Trovatore, (costumes) and ballet productions such as Les Patineurs, Skone Slaapster and Carmen for the Roland Petit ballet company.
