From 1928 onwards, when Pieter Pohl's protegé Hendrik Momberg served as resident director, the students of the Graaff-Reinet Educational Training College did plays such as Die Laaste van die Takhare (J.C. Langenhoven, 1928), Van Riet van Rietforntein (**, 1928 - which they toured widely, visiting places such as Aberdeen, Steytlerville and Pearston.), Die Drie van der Walts (***, 1932), Die Nuwe Onderwyseres (***, 1935), Die Vloek (***, 1939), Die Heks (C. Louis Leipold, 19**), etc.
