Gordon Bagnall (19**-1977). Journalist and playwright.

Biography

Born in England, he came to South Africa in the 1930s and worked for the Cape Argus and Cape Times as lead writer. Later became public relations officer for University of Cape Town and the Nederburg estate.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He had a role in Love in Albania in 1951.

He wrote the one-act plays The Pineapple Barrow and later Birth of a Union (1960), performed as part of the Union Festival in 1960.
