Biography

Training

Studied drama at the University of Potchefstroom where he graduated with an honours degree in 1981.

Career

Worked for PACT, 1982 - 1985. Lectured in drama at Potchefstroom, 1985. Joined PACOFS in 1986-1987.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Made his debut as director in 198* at the ATKV Kampustoneel with ***. Acted in Vasvat van 'n Feeks and Die Keiser for PACT. Directed Onderhoud met 'n Bobbejaan and Hond Se Gedagte, 1985. Directed Somewhere on the Border for the Grahamstown Festival, 1986. Directed Bekett/Bêkdit for CAPAB, 1987. Directed We All Fall Down and Brothers ofr the Baxter Theatre, 1988. Directed The Caucasian Chalk Circle at the National Arts Festival in 1991. Directed Piekniek by Dingaan.
