George Case was an actor and manager.

Sometimes billed simply as Mr Case.



Biography

He was married to the actress Miss Egerton and the couple had their own company, known as the Egerton Case Company, for a while.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

F.C.L. Bosman (1980, p. 371) lists a short season of performances in the Oddfellows Hall, Cape Town, in August of 1878 by a Mr Case and a Miss Egerton (i.e. Mrs Case). The plays performed included The Man in Possession (on the 7th), The Drawing-Room Floor (the 8th), The House Warming (the 9th), Odds and Ends (on the 10th) of
