Geoffrey Sumner (1908-1989) [1] was a British comic actor.

Biography

Born on 20 November 1908 in Ilfracombe, Devon

He appeared in a number of films and was a commentator for British Movietone News.

He passed away on 29 September 1989 on Alderney in the Channel Islands.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He visited South Africa to appear in The Jockey Club Stakes (1971-1972) at the Academy Theatre and returned in 1979 he did There Goes the Bride and Doctor on the Boil (directed by Rex Garner) at the Academy Theatre.
