[[Anthony Farmer]] designed the set, [[Otto Pirchner]] directed, and choreography was taken over from [[Geoffrey Sutherland]] by [[Wendy de la Harpe]]. She starred in an adaptation of ''[[Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris]]'', directed by [[Taubie Kushlick]] between 1975 and 1983. Starred in [[The Company]]’s production of Alan Ayckbourn’s ''[[Absurd Person Singular]]'', designed by [[Anthony Farmer]] and co-directed by [[John Hussey]] and [[Mannie Manim]]. It also starred [[Graham Armitage]], [[Naomi Buch]], [[Wilson Dunster]], [[Kerry Jordan]] and [[Diane Appleby]] and was staged at the [[Market Theatre]] in November 1977. Performed in The Flip Side, Black Comedy, Give our Regards to Broadway (with NAPAC), Oliver (as “Nancy” with PACT in 1979), Happy Birthday (for Toerien-Firth Company in 1980), Out of the Question.

She starred as Eve in JODS’s production of Applause at the Civic Theatre in 1971, in an adaptation of Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris, directed by Taubie Kushlick between 1975 and 1983, as Marion in The Company’s production of Alan Ayckbourn’s Absurd Person Singular at the Market Theatre in November 1977, Geoffrey Sutherland’s production of Joan Littlewood’s Oh What a Lovely War in 1980, in Des and Dawn Lindberg’s production of Lennon together with Bruce Millar, Colin Shapiro and Colin Shamley at the Arena Bistro in 1981.

Gay wrote the lyrics for the musical Babette: a Love Story in 1999.
