(1970-) Drama lecturer, writer and director. Studied at Rhodes University (B.A.(Hons)), University of Stellenbosch (M.Dram) and University of Zululand (D.Phil. in Communication Science, 2001). Taught movement and acting at the University of Stellenbosch and the University of Zululand in South Africa. Theatrical work includes Spüg, (which he both wrote and directed, 1998). Later moved to the United Kingdom where he taught at the Glyndwyr University and later became Principal Lecturer in Performing Arts at University of Cumbria. He is a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy. He consults as an academic advisor on curriculum development and retention. Both in South Africa and England he has been a consultant on the use of work place-based theatre (Industrial Theatre) in designing and implementing bespoke communication, change management and public relations campaigns, been an advisor to NGO’s and created participatory empowerment projects resulting in theatre and films. Also directed and acted in theatre, film and radio.
