A play by Nicholas Ellenbogen. The drama, which centres on an imminent ecological tragedy brought about by human greed, is played out by a number of animals.

The play was commissioned by Southern Life and the Southern African Nature Foundation as part of the Southern's centenary celebrations in 1991.

Directed by Nicholas Ellenbogen and Michael Atkinson, design by Ellis Pearson, music by Neill Solomon, choreography by Graham Clarke, lighting by Nurden Cross, honorary consultant Pieter Toerien. The cast: Michael Atkinson (The Elephant), Seputla Sebogodi (The Lion and the Porcupine), Kurt Egelhof (Kite and Bushman), Natalia da Rocha (Baboon and Eagle Owl), Esmael Teixeira (Aardvark and Dolphin), Lara Bye (Hornbill and Wild Dog Bitch), Graham Clarke (The Sable and Hound and Bat), Shadrack Mkhwanazi (Askari), Cedric Pearson (Askari), Solly Mhlongo (Wild Dog), Christopher Tokalon (musician), Anthony Stevens (musician).
