LAKIER, Gail. (19*-) Lyricist. Daughter of Bertha Egnos. * She wrote the lyrics and Bertha composed the music for an LP record titled ‘The Warrior’ which subsequently became the basis for Ipi-Tombi which opened at the Brooke on 25 March 1974 after a *run in Perth. Together with Bertha Egnos she created Lulu Wena which was staged at the Brooke in 1977. She wrote the songs for Bertha Egnos’ Ipi-Tombi II, the NOW Generation which was launched at the Victory Theatre in 1989. ***(Tucker, 1997)
