A Dutch play in three acts by Pieter 't Hoen (1745-1828).

The original text
Described as a good example of the 18th century “comédie larmoyante” (sentimental drama or “tearjerker” as it would be known today), the text was published in Amsterdam and Utrecht by G.T. van Paddenburg en zoon and M. Schalekamp in 1793.
