(18*-19*) Journalist, writer, critic, *** and elocutionist. *** In 1905 he and his wife ** did recitals of inter alia Afrikaans poetry in Den Haag, which led to visits to South Africa by Dutch artists. *** Wrote a column under the title Van Alle Kante in Die Burger. His writings also included reviews and discussions of theatre in the Cape.
