Performance history in South Africa

1986: First performed at the Kampustoneel festival in 1986, by the Drama Department of the Potchefstroom University for Christian Higher Education

1987: First performed professionally, staged by PACT, directed by Ilse van Hemert, with Sandra Prinsloo (Kato Vermaak), Eric Nobbs (Jan Vermaak), Frans Kalp (Gabriel Vermaak), Ben Kruger (Jerrie Brits), Ronel Kriel (Mercedes Brits), and Whinney-Isaiah Setimo (Swartbooi). Design and lighting by James MacNamara. Sandra Prinsloo won both the AA Life-Vita Award as Best Actress and DALRO Award as Best Actress for the production.
