Family Portrait is a play in three acts by American playwright Lenore Coffee (1896-1984)[1] and William Joyce Cowen. This play provides a dramatized portrayal of the family life of Jesus. Describing his parents and siblings, the author includes a peek at the impact of Jesus' teachings and crucifixion on the rest of his family.

The original text

Published by Random House, 1939 and in Plays of the Year. v.1, 1948-49, chosen by J. C. Trewin. The play was performed at The Strand Theatre in London in February 1948, with Fay Compton in the lead role as Mary, Mother of Jesus Christ.
