He died on 1 May 2007 at the age of 83.

He first worked for the Gwen ffrangçon-Davies / Marda Vanne Company, toured with André Huguenet and the NTO and also appeared in films and on television.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
He made is debut on stage in The Merry Wives of Windsor, toured with By die ou Meulstroom and played Osric in the Afrikaans Hamlet. He was alternate for the part of Eric in An Inspector Calls.
Other productions include Altyd My Liefste (1948), Hassan (1950), Die Vrek (1951), As Ons Twee Eers Getroud Is (1952).
Television appearances include roles in Vyfster, Nommer Asseblief, Koöperasiestories, Dryfsand, and he had roles in the films Nag van die 19de and Stander.
Awards, etc
He was nominate for an Artes Award as best actor in Koöperasiestories.
