Elweheuwel

("Elves' Hill"). An Afrikaans version of Elverhøi by Johan Ludvig Heiberg, which is considered the first Danish national play. Published by the poet and playwright Johan Ludvig Heiberg in 1828.

The Afrikaans translation and adaptation to radio was by Alewyn Lee, using an English translation by Neil Pascoe. Published in 1953, broadcast by the Die Suid-Afrikaanse Uitsaaikorporasie (SABC) in Durban, in its Afrikaans programme Univaal Radioteater
