Elizabeth Archer (19**-) is an actress and director.

Biography

She was born in Cape Town, South Africa, and went to school in Bellville and studied at the University of Stellenbosch, graduating in 1977.


Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

She performed in student productions of Die Goue Kring (UTS 1976), Die Goeie Mens van Sezuan (UTS 1976) and Reinaard die Vos (UTS 1977).

As a professional actress she acted in Die Plaasvervangers (CAPAB 1978, and in January 1979 became a member of CAPAB's main company, appearing in Yerma in English (PACOFS 1979), the CAPAB production of Faust Part One, October 1980.

In later years Elizabeth worked mainly in television and film as actress ( for example in Agter elke man and Die Manakwalanners) or director (for example directing the series Hagenheim: Streng Privaat).
