First produced in 1983 at the Libertas Theatre Club in Stellenbosch, in The Arena at the Nico Malan Theatre in Cape Town and in the Goodnow Hall in Wellington , directed by Johann van Heerden, with Dup du Plessis (MC), Jannie Hofmeyr (bass-baritone), Antoinette Pienaar (soprano), Carin Prins (alto), Belinda Richardson (alto) and André Schwartz (tenor). Musical direction by Anthony Costandius, with Bill Maliepaard (saxophone), Keith Coxen (drums), Hans Huyssen/Stefné Hough (double bass), Faan Malan (French horn), Edna Labuschagne (clarinet), Jannie Hofmeyr (flute) and Anthony Costandius (piano).
