Een Ongelukkig Minnaar, of Mislukte Liefdesverklaring ("An unhappy suitor, or failed derclaration of love") is a Dutch comedy (with music) in one act by Theodoor van der Stempel (fl. 1860s).

The title is sometimes wrongly given as Een Ongelukkig Minnaar, of De Mislukte Liefdesverklaring.

Written for the Rederijkerskamer Oefening Baart Kunst and published by K. van der Hulst in Kampen, 1868.

Performance history in South Africa

1870: First performed (as Een Ongelukkig Minnaar, of De Mislukte Liefdesverklaring) in the Germania Hall, Cape Town, by Aurora II on 2 June, with Gustaaf Heller, of Het Offer der Verleiding (T. van der Stempel).
