Biography

Born and went to school in Johannesburg.

Training

Studied at Rhodes Universityand completed a BA in Drama and English, followed by an Honours degree in Drama in 2003. In 2004 he began work as a history teacher in Cape Town.

Career

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He began writing plays when he was sixteen, and his plays include Dream, Brother (2011) and Hinterland (2012).

Awards, etc

His first play received the 2011 Standard Bank Silver Ovation Award for Fringe Drama and his next one won three awards at the PANSA/NLDTF Festival of New Writing in 2012.
