Dramakunde

Dramakunde is an early Afrikaans term used to refer to the study of drama and theatre history and dramatic texts. For example the original Drama Department of the University of Pretoria, which tended to focus on text analysis and history, was called the Departement Dramakunde.

Also used by many departments to refer to the theory aspect of a theatre-studies course.
