Doon Boshoff (1948-2021) was a freelance stage, TV and film actor and lyricist.

Biography

Born Theunis Louis Boshoff on 6 June, 1948, in Kroonstad, Orange Free State, and completed his matriculation in Pietersburg in the Northern Transvaal.

Having finished school he worked in the banking sector and then in motor sales in Potchefstroom.

He wrote the lyrics for the Gene Rockwell hit song "Annabel".

Married to Alta on 6 February, 1971, and the couple had three sons. He and Alta settled in Nieuwoudtville 2020, where he passed away of a heart attack on 12 June, 2021.

Contribution to South African theatre, film, media and performance
