Donald Swanson (1920-). Film director and producer. Owner/director of Swan Film Productions Ltd.


His films

He participated in a network of documentary and colonial filmmakers in the late 1940s and early 1950s, first in Gaumont-British Instructional (GBI) and subsequently in African Film Productions (AFP).

two colonial films that Swanson scripted and directed, Chisoko the African (1949) and Mau Mau (1954).

African Jim (1949), Lokval in Venesië, The Magic Garden (1951) (aka: The Pennywhistle Blues).
