LAMPBRECHT, Don. (1943- 2009) Actor. Studied at the University of Pretoria Drama Department. Joined PACT company in 19** and became an accomplished part of the Afrikaans ensemble. Perhaps his most famous role is that of ‘Tjokkie” the seër in P.G. du Plessis’s Siener in die Suburbs (1971), but also played leading roles in ***, ***, ***. Also became one of the first actors to really make money out of television advertising. Withdrew from public performance in 19** and devoted himself to radio work (??**)

LAMPRECHT, Don. He starred in François Swart’s production of P.G. du Plessis’s ‘n Seder Val in Waterkloof together with Annette Engelbrecht, Johan Malherbe, Franz Marx and Wilna Snyman was a huge success for PACT in 1975. He starred in Schlengemann’s Die Drie van der Walts together with Wilna Snyman and Errol Ross with direction by François Swart for PACT in 1979. He starred in an Afrikaans translation of the setwork piece The Merchant of Venice called Die Koopman van Venesie, directed by Louis van Niekerk, together with Rika Sennett in 1981. ***(Tucker, 1997)
