Published as a "Lustspiel in 5 Akten" by Bloch, Berlin 1879.

Translated into Dutch by Johan Herman Rössing and published in Amsterdam by Erven H. van Munster & Zn, 1880.

Performance history in South Africa

Performed in Dutch by the rederijkerskamer Onze Taal in the Pretoria in the period 1891-1898.
