Also known simply as Dirk Mostert. (1897-1982) Teacher, journalist, politician, Afrikaans writer, translator and amateur actor. Born Dirk Johannes Jacobus Mostert 29 September 1897 op Middelburg, Transvaal, and went to a variety of schools. Studied at the Grey University College in Bloemfontein. e became chairman of the Afrikaanse Studentebond and secretary of the Afrikaanse Taalvereniging.


His contribution to theatre

In 194* he translated Are You a Mason? into Afrikaans for André Huguenet as Is Jy 'n Bokryer?.
