Dirk Gysbert Richard (1918-2010). Journalist, author and playwright.
He was the editor of the Afrikaans newspaper Die Vaderland.

He wrote the plays Die Rooi Duiwel se As (19**), Die Laaste Skakel; Perske vir 'n Pond; Gebed in Clarendon; Die Taal van die Hart.
