Die Uur van Vergelding ("The hour of retribution") is a title found for two plays performed in South Africa

(The title Uur van Vergelding is also found.)

There is also an Afrikaans novel called Uur van Vergelding by Pierre J. Fourie (19**).

Die Uur van Vergelding by McGuire/Gunther (1930)

Die Uur van Vergelding is the Afrikaans title given to a popular translation (possibly by A.E. Carinus-Holzhausen) of a play ostensibly by Friedrich Gunter, and performed by the Hanekom Company. However, according to Ludwig Binge (1969), this was more likely to have been a translation of The Divorce Question by William Anthony McGuire. Thus the translation may have been a Dutch or German version by Gunter, or the name was used to avoid copyright issues.

Die Uur van Vergelding by Jac J. Brits (1959)

An original one-act play, published in Tydskrif vir Letterkunde, 9(3):65-74. Sept 1959.
