There are two plays called Die Les (“The Lesson”) that have been performed in South Africa.


Die Les("The Lesson") by Ina Rousseau

It is a short story by Ina Rousseau, published in Johan Anker (ed) Middernagfees en ander verhale. Adapted for the stage by Marie Buys. (??? There seems to be no source for this)

Die Les("The Lesson") by Eugène Ionesco

It is an Afrikaans translation by Bartho Smit of La Leçon ("the lesson"), an absurdist one-act play by Eugène Ionesco.
