Die Huweliksbedrog (The Marriage Deception) is an Afrikaans adaptation by Karel Schoeman of a comedy play by Pieter Langendijk.

Het wederzijds huwelijksbedrog (The Mutual Marriage Deception) [1] is an 18th Century comedy by Dutch playwright Pieter Langendijk (1683-1756) [2].

1978: Staged by PACOFS in the Observatory Theatre (Sterrewagteater) in Bloemfontein, directed by William Egan, with Chris van Niekerk (Lodewyk), Pierre Knoesen (Jan), Anita de Jager (Charlotte), Marie Pentz (Konstance), At Botha (Karel), Annanda Davies (Sofy), Elize Cawood (Klaar), Roelf Laubscher (Hans), Dirk Vermeulen (Pop & Kruier), Fred van Rooyen (various roles) and Clifford Lilley (various roles). Sets and costumes by Dicky Longhurst.
