("The Golden Son/Boy"). A 2002 play created by Saartjie Botha, Grethe Fox and Marthinus Basson. About the South African poet and playwright Uys Krige and his relationship with his mother, Sannie Uys (Grethe Fox's grandmother).

Performance history in South Africa

Staged at the KKNK in 2002, directed by Marthinus Basson, with Neels van Jaarsveld (Uys Krige). Grethe Fox (Sannie Krige), Cobus Rossouw and André Roothman. The play was awarded the Kanna Prize for Best Serious Drama at the KKNK.
