Die Goldne Spinne ("The golden spider") is a German comedy in four acts by Franz von Schönthan(1849-1913)[1]

The original text

First performed on 21 January, 1885 in the Carltheater, Vienna. Published as Die goldne Spinne in Leipzig by Reclam, [ca. 1885],

Translations and adaptations

According to , translated into Dutch as Politiezaken ("Police matters") by Jac. de Vos (also written as Politie-zaken), performed in the Leidse Schouwburg, Leiden, in 1893 and by the Vereniging tot bevordering van uiterlijke welsprekendheid "Bogaers" in Koog-Zaandijk, ca. 1897.
