Die Geschiedene Frau ("The divorced woman") is a two act German musical comedy by Victor Leon.


The original text

Translations and adaptations

An English version of Leon's play, an operetta in three acts called The Girl in the Train, was written by Harry B. Smith (1860-1936), with music by Leo Fall, and was first produced at the newly opened Globe Theatre, New York, from 10th March to 11th May 1910.

Performance history in South Africa

1911: Performed as The Girl in the Train by the Wheeler Company in the Opera House, Cape Town.
