Die Afrikaanse Taalvereniging(ATV - “The Afrikaans Language Society”) was an Afrikaans cultural association, founded by J.H.H. de Waal in 1906.

Among its activities was the promotion of amateur performances of Afrikaans plays through its various branches, including those of De Waal himself. In this regard, the Cape Town and Stellenbosch branches (the latter of which was comprised largely by University-people) were particularly active by 1912 and later.in Cape Town

Other people associated with it were D.F. Malherbe and D.F. Malan.
