(b. **/**/**** - d. **/**/****). Boxer. Dick Heyns was a South African boxer whose career is known to have stretched from 1904 to 1920. In 1909 he beat Maurice Christian in a fight for the vacant South African heavyweight title, but never defended his claim. Probably credited as Dick Hayes, he fought the popular Jack Lalor in the film The Stolen Favourite (1919), a sporting drama directed by Joseph Albrecht. (FO)
