Der Störenfried is a German play in four acts by Roderich Benedix (1811–1873)[1]

The original text

Translations and adaptations

Translated into Dutch as De Rustverstoorster by O.V. Ruysmans and produced by Albregt & Van Ollefen in the Rotterdamsche Schouwburg, opening on 17 December 1869 and going on to play consecutively in the seasons 1869/1870 and 1870/1871, 1872/1873, 1873/1874 and finally 1875/1876.

Later the same piece was also performed by the Koninklijke Vereeniging Het Nederlandsch Tooneel, but now with the title De Stokebrand ("The firebrand"). The première of this version was on 3 July, 1877, in the Plantage Schouwburg, Amsterdam, and it was played as part of the seasons 1876/1877 and 1877/1878.
